Diesel Fuel Management- EchoPods were installed on "Bongos", a charter fishing boat, to monitor and track diesel fuel consumption. Previously, the owner used mechanical floats that would give him three readings, full / half tank / empty. In addition to poor measurement, the mechanical floats were also corroding from the harsh marine and diesel environment. EchoPod's small size made it easy to install in the limited space above the fuel tanks, sending a 4-20 mA signal to a LI44 display. The display, mounted at the helm of the boat, provided an accurate tenth of a gallon display indicating the remaining diesel fuel in the tanks. Now "Bongos" can accurately track its fuel consumption to ensure competitive pricing for fishing trips with oil prices continuing to rise. It's marine fuel level measurement made simple!
